Hi QM experts,

User asked me a question: Material_01 have two vendor----vendor 1 and vendor 2, and for different vendor will assign different sample procedure, example as following:

Material_01 ----- vendor 1 ----- sample procedure 1

Material_01 ----- vendor 2 ----- sample procedure 2

How to achieve it?

Best Regards,

Hello,

The easiest method would be to have two inspection plans for the material. Use the material assignments to assign 1 to vendor 1, the other to vendor 2. The characteristics in each plan could point to the appropriate sampling procedure.

Dear Fanchao,

We can achieve this requirement by maintain the two group counters in the same inspection plan i.e. Group counter 1 should be your first vendor and assign the desired characteristics for the first vendor

second group counter maintain the vendor 2 and maintain the required characteristics

but you have to ensure the valid from date should be lies in your GRN date then only these MIC will flow to your inspection lot

you can certainly use vendor specific inspection plan as mentioned above but you have to maintain inspection plan for each material vendor combination.

Alternatively use two MIC with different sampling procedures in the inspection plan. Quality inspector manually can decide to record  results for correct mic with correct sampling procedure. This approach although not he beast, can save lot of master data maintenance issues.

Hi Morabkar,

Do I need to maintain the Q-info for each vendor? Thanks.

Hi Morabkar,

If user has been maintained the Q-info already, is there any influence for this case?

Thank you.

Dear Fanchon, Quality info record is a agreement between vendor and our quality team there we will not maintain any Mic and sampling procedure. Here we will maintain the release date and release quantity Regards, Venkatesh
