Reorder point planning in apo

Dear Experts

I am planning consumption based plan in sapapo .

My finished material is having 2 level BOM . I have maintained Mrp type as x0 Lot size as EX  and reorder point for 2000 ,consumption mode 2 Backward consumption 10 Forward consumption 99 in mrp3 and I have cifed material to APO changes have been replicated in APO

When I am running planning heuristics sap-PP-007 .Planned order are not getting generated in correct order multiple planned order are getting generated .

And also charcterstics are missing while generating planned order like width length colour etc

How to overcome it ??

Hi Virender,

First check if the reorder point parameters are available in the product master.

For this check tab Lot Size then sub-tab Procedure.

• the Reorder point radio button with Reorder Point Method 1 have to be chosen.

In sub-tab Quantity and Date Determination

• Target stock level - 4 (Maxim stock + safety stock)

Stock Data section:

• Reorder point - enter a value
• Max stock level - enter a value (bigger that reorder point)
• Safety stock method - SB (safety stock from product master)  

You use Max stock level if you have a Max. The reorder point is used for Min.

For test do this setup manually direct in APO and see if is working for you.

Firstly I would thanks you for suggestion 

All the above data had been mantained even though additional planned

orders are getting generated as shown below

As per above screen shot below are details

PlOrd. 100000515217 this is for Finished material

PlOrd. 100000515216 this is for semifinished material 2

PlOrd. 100000515215 this is for semifinished material 1

You can observe the additional planned orders getting generated

Insted of generating planned orders i want to generate PR .how to get it .

please suggest how to replicate in apo same as ecc

The reorder point setup is for SNP heuristic! For the moment test with SNP tool.

But i want to execute reorder point concept  with PPDS  Sap_pp_007 Heuristics  Can you please suggest me what are  important constraint (master data ,config level setting ) need to mantained to execute  reorder point heuristics.

Hi Virender,

I understand. You can use the same logic for PPDS too. I suggested you to use SNP heuristic to see how react.

For PPDS you can use the same setup, but you have to take in consideration that you can't use  SAP_PP_007 if the products are configurable. Try with heuristic SAP_PP_002 (Planning of Standard Lots). 

For semi-finished products you will have dependent demand from parent. They are in house production (E). For this reason the system will create pl.orders. If you want to have external procurement you have to change them to F - external procurement.
