Marketing Plan & Campaign & integration with PS

HI Gurus

Need your help !

I have doubt regarding Marketing plan & Campaign and its integration with PS system.We creating Marketing Plan & campaign in CRM & then replicate it to PS for Budget Tracking & cost estimation.My question is Will Marketing plan be created as Project in PS followed by Campaign as its WBS element. or else how is it that their integration gets reflected from CRM to PS.

Hello,

please check the following example:

The top element (in this case the marketing plan) in the hierarchy creates the project definition, each child element together with the top element (the marketing plan and each campaign or campaign element) create a WBS element.

To answer your question: The marketing plan itself will be transfered as WBS element, since this is the top element, it also generates the project definition. The project definition stores the header data for the whole project, this is required. The WBS elements contain the costs - therefore the marketin plan is available as WBS element as well.
