Display Text and Key of Hierarchy-Variable values not possible

Hallo all,

in a query we use an hierarchy variable. If we use BEx Analyzer 7.0 we have the possibility to display text AND key of the different values.

In BO (2.0.2.3622) this isn't possible. Also in BO 1.4 we hadn't this possibility ...

I hope you understand what i mean

Hi Steffen Haas,

in 2.0 SP3 Text and KEY options are available for hierarchy variable

Now i've updated to 2.0.3.8186 but it doesn't work.

Do I have to change something else? Config?

Hi Steffen - I experienced the same until I went to RSD1 in BW inside of the InfoObject hierarchy and changed the setting to "Key and Texts" on the Business Explorer tab - see below:

change the General Display settings to Key and Text; mine was just key and I saw the same as you and now I see all options.

Hi again,

so far everything is okay. I'm able to display Key and Text (sort by key).

But if I change in RSD1 to "5 Text and Key", the system ignore my settings --> so I'm not able to sort by Text.

Also if I change "sort by" in the Query Designer. And in BO directly I haven't any possibilities to change it.

Any idea to solve this problem?

Hello Steffen - could you share more screen shots, using the camera icon?  Also since this is a closed thread, please create a new thread on this

I tried recreating it in my system and I am not seeing the same as you, so please, when you can, create a new thread and share some screen shots.
