Hi All,

When user is trying to upload the LSO content through the Reposiotory Explorer he is geting the below errro.

Failed to create folder:/ABCE....../

-> reason: WebDAV-Error:403:Forbidden(403)

com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.repository.access.wdslide.WDException:Failded to create folder:/ABCE....

We have checked - User profile in HCM, KM Permission and config...everything seems to be fine...

Could you please suggest , what could be the reason?

We understand it is due to permission, and user is missing the permission to access the folder.

we have done our check? did we miss something to check plz advice.

Result from the function test for Master respository are as below:

  ====== Folder tests:

  + Ok, for non-existing folder!

  Create folder '/folder498559314/': Test aborted due to
error: Failed to create folder: /folder498559314/

Hi,

Are you using content server to upload documents? If yes, ask basis person to check content server settings.

hi Dheerendra,

As mentioned by Navya and also the issue is with the folder creation. can be seen below

  com.sap.hcm.ls.shared.repository.access.wdslide.WDException:
Failed to create folder: /folder498559314/

So request you to check with your basis team to get the required access on OS level so that user can create the folders. this can be remidate by giving 775 permission on folder on Unix level.

Also ask the basis guys to check the ownership of the folder so that this can re mediated.

and if your using a separate content server then ask them to check the status of the repository under that.

Let us know if you need further inputs on same.

Ram

Hi Ram & Navya,

Thanks for your reply.

Persistent mode of this LSO repository in KM is DB, and the permission assigned to the lso folder are Everyone - 'Read only' and to Group (who upload the content) is having 'read/write' permission.

Do we need to change the above permissions and give full control instead of read/write to above groups in KM ?

Thanks

Hi Navya,

What do you mean by Content server to upload the document.

User upload the document from his local repository thorugh Respository explorer (LSO 6.04_13) to Portal. This issue starts after Portal upgrade to 7.4 sp8 and previous to this user was able to upload the content from his machine to Portal through Authoring Environment tool /RE to Portal.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Dheerendra

You can use the Rapid Deploy and use the NWBC or Portal.

You need to set up the JAVA connection.

You can make life easier if you also use SAP Portal Drive.
