We need a way to hide costing in one plant in company 001 from all other users in other plants in the same company code (001)
For example - we have 50 plants and 50 sales orgs in company code 001. Only one of the 50 plants/sales orgs has costing and pricng that they do not want anyone else to see.
Is there a way to set security at the plant level without having to create a separate role for each plant and assign each role to the users EXCEPT the controlled plant?
Can we maybe do something like if plant (or salesorg) nopt equal XXXX as default for all users. Then another if plant does equal xxxx for the select finance and sales team?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheryl Tackett
Hi Cheryl,
Let us assume that in a company (01) you have 50 plants and you want plant 50 to be viewed by special persons and you do not want it to be viewed by all. To achieve this, You can create 2 roles with below details.
Role1 :
In Org values, give Plant details as 02 - 50
Role2:
In Org values, give Plant details as 01
Assign Role2 to those Special people and Role1 to those people, you wish to hide the Plant 1 information from.
Let us know if thsi works out.

Cheryl,
You can develop script or using mass maintenance SU10 add the Role1 to every user. (You can have the role2 users in the script for adding role2)
And if needed, then if the "special people" number is less - add the role2 and remove role1.
Regarding default of role1 to each user going forward - unfortunately, in SAP it is not possible like in 'default permissions' like in SAP Portal.
Hope this helps.

Daya
