Putaway Strategy error

Former Member

Dear experts,

I have following situation in my storage type:

So as you see, 5 bins are in the storage. Every storage has 2 logical positions and as you see there one HU in every bin.

But the second logical position is actually free, but when I try to create a WT the system cannot find the storage bin...

My Customizing looks follwing:

Sorry for many screenshots, but I still not understand why the HU cannot be putted in the second free logical positions of the storage.

THanks in advance

BR

Denis

Hi Denis,

Did you resolve this issue?

I am experiencing the same issues that you have documented here.

My bins acknowledge that i have 2 positions, however during Putaway, only fill the 02 position (back) before moving on to the next storage bin.  AND during Picking i do not get a task to move a pallet in position 01 if i have two pallets in a bin and i want the pallet in position 02.

thanks,

A

Hi,

ah, you use the new multi-depth storage feature. Have not worked with that one yet (and not sure if I ever will). But you have set up everything as it says here: Multi-Depth Storage - Material Flow System (MFS) - SAP Library?

Hi Jürgen,

yes I use this one. Why are you sure, you never will? IIs it as bad?

Yes, I already set up customizing due to this description, but it still didn't helped.

Hello Denis,

Can you share SLG1 logs or you can just click on this button(after getting error message):

Hi,

no, don't think it is bad. But as I never really do much with MFS, chances for setting it up are not really high.

I tried to find out what strategy settings are needed (that is somehow not really shown in the documentation). Because what you need the system to do in fact is a mixed storage (assuming that in two HUs you can have two materials). But there is not really any standard strategy supporting this, so I always assumed you need to implement some kind of Badi for this in order to work at all.

Hello Denis,

Did you assign bin access type to your resource? You have access type active at your storage bin.

Can you re-check resource customizing?

Best regards

Hi,

can you please share how did you define the logical sections?

Then what the WT log says please?

Cheers,

Hi Petr,

I didn't defined anything there.

Log says only this:

Can you please clarify what you mean by 2 logical positions?

Do you say the system cannot find the bin AKL1-L-153-02 ?

How did you define the bin?

Hi Petr,

well all my bins have the depth 2:

As you see this bin contains already one HU and now I'm not able to putaway the second one.

This is how my Bin looks like:

Bin Depth = logical position
