Fixed assets -depreciation planning

Hi All,

I want to do Fixed assets planning, want to calculate depreciation and also additions and deletions of fixed assets, Can anyone explain how to achieve this scenario in EPM 10 , what properties need to created for calculation depreciation. Pls help

Hi Ravi,

For this kind of scenario I usually use the purchase date, depreciation rate and a flag that inidicate if the asset is and Existing, New or Deletion asset, the main issue that you fill find is that with LS you can't compute properly the depreciation using the purchase date, my advise: if is possible, use a BADI for this computation,

Advantages:

• Fast computation,
• You can easily enhacement the funtionality
• avoid big surprises.
