how to make rental object entry is mandatory in Contract Offer

Hi,

While creating contract offer, system should not be allowed to save contract offer until and unless we maintained the rental object in Objects tab.

Through 'permitted objects per contract type' node we can control only what are all the objects are allowed in contract offer, but how can i make object is mandatory.

You can use Transaction and Screen Variants for doing the same.

Transaction and Screen Variants for limiting Standard Transactions

Transaction and Screen Variants for specific User groups and adopting it in the standard Transaction...

Please go to RECACUST, with the path:

Flexible Real Estate Management (RE-FX)

Contract

  Dialog

   Screen Layout

    Field Groups

      Field Groups

      Field Status

In "field groups", pleases find the group "Objects", and double click on it, in below screen, check off "exclude customizing"

And then, in node "Field status", you can set it as required information.

I have tried, but it is not working. When we are creating contract offer, though we have not added the Object it is getting saved. We are not getting the error message.

Hi Srinivasa,

As mentioned in my previous reply that you issue will get resolved if you use Transaction and screen variant.

It provides a couple of options within standard transaction to maintain any field mandatory.

In your case you need to just select this RO number field to make it mandatory.
