Modify Template with Appraisal Document Prepared

Hi.

We have gone live with the module of Performance Management in the year 2011.

We have used template to create the appraisal document.

In the moment we need have the following structure:

VA

   VB

      VC

      VC

      VC

   VB

      VC

      VC

      VC

   VB

      VC

      VC

      VC

We need add a new object VB with three object VC. However we already have prepared the appraisal document. My Question is:

- If I modify this template this generate inconsistencies?

- What is the best practice of manage this requirement?

Hi,

For structural changes to the template, the best practice is normally to create a new appraisal template. To avoid inconsistencies between the old and the new version of the template.

In my experience, I changed an existing template in the following way:

• Add section with additional infomative text
• Hide section which was diplay only (but not relevant)

In this case no inconsistencies were created because the changes were fairly limited.

Hi.

But if we already have prepared the appraisal document to the employee this change  not will generate inconsistencies? We use the option 1 of transport.
