SAP HANA Test Strategy

There is lot of buzz word on HANA and I was wondering if HANA implementation changes Test Management Strategy in any way. I would appreciate if anyone can provide any inputs on HANA Testing

Hi Saurabh,

SAP HANA is impacting the test Management strategy, but in which way depends on how you want to use SAP HANA.

Changes in regards to technical tests are for example:

- Data replication Tests to SAP HANA

- Security Tests on SAP HANA

- Test of native SAP HANA development

...

Changes in regards to functional Tests are for example:

- Reporting that is now done directly on SAP HANA instead of SAP BW

- New Business processes with new SAP products like SAP Simple Finance.

If you can tell a bit more about how you want to use SAP HANA I'm happy to go a bit more in detail.
