Hi,
I am creating a new multiprovder which should be simple. I have two DSOs with the same characteristics and key figures I want to be added to the multiprovider.
I add select the DSOs when creating the Multiprovider - for some reason on the left side where I select the infoobjects to be added to the multiprovider all the InfoObejctes under the DSO are not showing.
For example.
DSO1 Contains
- InfoObject 1
- InfoObject 2
- InfoObject 3
DSO2 Contains
- InfoObject 1
- InfoObject 2
- InfoObject 3
BUT in the MultiProvider I see
DSO1 Contains
- InfoObject 1
- InfoObject 2
DSO2 Contains
- InfoObject 1
- InfoObject 2
Why would InfoObjects be missing?
Cheers
Hi,
Can you share dso and multi provider design screen shot.
What type of info object 3 is?
is it navigational attribute?
Have you tried to see thru identification option at Multi provider level?
Thanks

Hi,
Cant really show the screenshot as it is a clients machine.
Effectively the InfoObject Characteristic is in the DSO but when I add it to the multprovider I dont see it.
It is not a navigational attribute.
I just tried doing the assignment. I had to add an infoject e.g. Coountry to the multprovider but it only lets me assign it to country...which is logical i guess.
Cheers
Hi,
Assumed as your DSO objects are in active,
Can you just logoff and relog in.
Again try to create multi provider based on two dso.
Later you can see DSO's at left side screen and expand it.
Below you may see all chars/key fig as per dso structure.
Other wise lets try to add info object 3 to multiprovider dimension, save MP.
Later try to do the identification and see there, whether it shows info obejct 3 to select for identification or not.
Thanks
Problem found - it was due to the infobjects being attribute only! the InfoObjects were created by someone else and this was incorrectly ticked.

can you check the technical name of the object.
check the char identificaiton for all the info objects.

The following is actually warning rather than error:
"The short text of DataSource 8ZDS01 is not maintained in language E?
I have looked for 8ZDS01 and it is emulated. The short text is empty but since it is emulated it wont let me change it. The datasource 8ZDS01 is something used in 3.x world and we are not using it. So shouldnt be relevant.
Then again im not sure why the short text is empty - it shou;d have just populated it. Not sure if relevant though
Cheers
