Putaway strategy to store same material with different valuation type(batches) in different bins

Hi,

We have business requirement to store one material with different valuation types (batches) in different storage bins.

We have set the below parameters for the storage type.

1.putaway strategy : C (open storage)

2Mixed Storage : X (Mixed storage without limitations)

3.Addn to Stock : X (Addition to existing stock permitted.)

4.SUT check active

5.Storage Sec. Check active.

Business requirement is during putaway the if the same material is received with different valuation types , the system should propose different storage bins.

In the current setup, system is proposing the same storage bin to place the same material with different valuation types as mixed storage without limitations and addition to exisiting stock parameters are set.

Request an solution on the above business requirement.

Mixed storage = X is not really a good choice if you want it actually differently, don't you think so?

If you want in general that everything can be mixed but only the same material with different valuation types not, then you have to use an exit to make this happen.

Thank you for the inputs.

The storage type would be used to store multiple materials in one single bin, so we need to have mixed storage and the same bin should not be proposed if valuation type is different.

If exit is the way to meet the requirement. do u suggest any exit that can be used to fulfill this requirement.
