Hi Support, In our SAP environment , the SAP Application and Database system are in 2 different system with the Operating system being Oracle Solaris 10. In the SAP application server we have the following user id : prdadm(Can this id's password changed periodically or kept as non- expire. Will the change of this password affect the SAP System after restart?) oraprd(Does this id need to exist in an SAP Application only System. If yes, Can this id's password changed periodically .Does this id has any dependency on the oraprd in the SAP Database System . Should the password of the 2 be the same) daaadm(Can this id's password changed periodically or kept as non-expire. Will the change of this password affect the SAP System after restart?) In the database server we have the following user id : prdadm(Does this id need to exist in an SAP Database only System. If yes Can this id's password changed periodically. Does this id has any dependency on the prdadm in the SAP Application System . Should thepassword of the 2 be the same) oraprd(Can this id's password changed periodically or kept as non-expire. Will the change of this password affect the SAP System after restart?) sapadm Can this id's password changed periodically or kept as non-expire. Will the change of this password affect the SAP System after restart?) Will there be any activity that requires the above user ids to directly login Regards Tony

Hi Tony,

You need to keep all the OS SAP IDs as password non- expire. In case if you need to change in any circumstance, then you also need to change in all other places where required. For example any services using this ID. Are you maintaining these users locally or are they Domain account? Analyze before you change it.

Thanks,
