64 bit os for BO tools

Hi,

I have 32 bit os installed on my laptop. Now I need to install data services on my laptop for which I need 64 bit os.

Now after installing 64 bit os. Will I be able to use WEBI, Dashboards, Bex query designer, BEx analyzer and other bo tools? Will they support 64 bit OS??

Hi Sri,

Only the BO server is 64 bit whereas all the client tools like Dashboards, WRC, IDT etc are all 32bit.
And these can be installed on both 32bit and 64 bit machines.

Just to add, when creating universes install 32bit drivers on the client machine and 64 bit drivers on the server. In case of ODBC, the dsn should be created on both client (32bit) and on server (64 bit) with exact same name.
