Segmentation based on objets without TREX?

Hello!

We need to segment based on IS-U POD attributes. Regarding link Segmentation Based on Objects (Objects in CRM) - Segmentation - SAP Library we must activate business function High volume segmentation (CRM_MKT_HVS) but we have infrastructure limitations to install a TREX. Is it possible to use classic segmentation based on objects without TREX and only activating business function CRM_MKT_HVS?

Hi Miguel,

please read following documentation about HVS.

It states that TREX is a prerequisit for CRM_MKT_HVS.

My question is because in the link I posted about Segmentation based on objects says:

"To use this function during segmentation for high data volumes, you must activate the business function High-Volume Marketing (CRM_MKT_HVS). This function is otherwise only available for classic segmentation."

Also in your link it states:

• Segmentation based on related objects Segmentation based on related objects is now also possible for segmentation with high data volume.

Regarding both texts, I understand that Segmentation based on objects is already included in classic segmentation, but when we try to create a datasource for object segmentation the option "Business Partners with Objects" is not appearing for selection

Hi Miguel,

if you do not want to use HVS, there is no need for TREX, hence you do not need it for Segmentation Based on Objects.

Just follow the instructions inside this documentation.
