Hi Experts,

Need your Suggestion.

In production ,without knowledge one Dashboard feeders report got deleted in web intelligence .

How should i retrieve that deleted reports in BO webi??

Kindly suggest some solutions

Hi Maya,

Dont make things complicated.

If you have all your reports in the dev then transport to prd.

steps:

1.login to dev CMC

2.Fill source n destination

3.source is dev n dest is prd

4.then create new job

5.click promote in dev CMC

6.Schedule

Hi Maya,

If they are available in QA you could promote them to production.

If not check with the server team if they have any backup of the FRS

Its available in the Development Side..

how should i take up the reports from development to production?

more over its a dashboard feeders

Identify which report is deleted and then promote it

or else if your dashbarad is working properly in Development then promote all the webi feeders along with the dashboard to production and validate after movement.

You can use LCM jobs to promote the reports and dashboard

Hi Maya,

Identify your deleted webi report. Select it along with the dashboard and move it across from Dev to QA and then from QA to Prod.

I have Development and Production not QA

Dashboard is properly working only in Production..

Usually Every week i will get the BO backup LCM for Production.

Now what i should?whether i can retrieve the deleted Feeders report in Production itself??

Hi Maya,

Did you back up the reports as LCM BIAR ??

if so then you can go to CMC in production >> Promotion management >> Import file and specify your recent LCM.BIAR file and select the missing webi report to get it back into production

Currently, there is no possibility to selectively restore an object(s) from LCMBIAR file. You can only restore all the objects in the archive.

Assume your PROD LCMBIAR file has 10 objects.

1. In your DEV, create a LCMBIAR and take backup of all the 10 objects that are in PROD lcmbiar file.
2. Import the LCMBIAR file that you have from prod into DEV
3. Create a new promotion job to promote only the required objects back to production from DEV .
4. Import the lcmbiar file that you created in step 1 to restore the DEV contents

So now, your dev is in the old state and your production has all the required reports.
