When you click on run.cmd file, a window should open in the browser with successful message. Do you see that?

Hi Jitendra,

Thanks for the reply.

When I click on run.cmd file, window to enter the key store password opens up.

And when I proceed with the password, I get the message as connector is listening to the port mentioned. (Find the screenshot in my previous reply).

As you said, I did not get any window opened in browser.

Please guide.

Regards,

Ajay

Hi Ajay,

Could you give the content of config.json file present inside your HAT installation path.

Given below details are from my installation.

Could you change the port to 9000 and see what's happening. To change the port edit config.json file.

Hi Ajay,

The Companion app has a dependency with Kapsel SDK. Hence if you need to use Companion app you need to install SMP SDK.

You could download the SMP SDK trial from here:

Also have a look at the supported Cordova versions with SMP SDK versions:

Cordova 3.0.6 (or the latest 3.0.x version) should be used if using SMP 3.0 SDK.
Cordova 3.1.0-0.2.0 (or the latest 3.1.x version) should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP01 SDK.
Cordova 3.3.1-0.1.2 (or the latest 3.3.x version) should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP02 SDK.
Cordova 3.4.0-0.1.3 should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP03 SDK.
Cordova 3.4.1-0.1.0 should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP04 SDK.

Cordova 3.5.0-0.2.7 (or the latest 3.5.x version) should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP05 SDK.

Cordova 3.6.3-0.2.13 (or the latest 3.6.x version) should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP05 PL03 or SP06 SDK.

Cordova 4.2.0 should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP07 SDK.

Cordova 4.2.0 should be used if using SMP 3.0 SP08 SDK.

Thanks Midhun.

So, the SMP SDK is a must for HAT installation.

Can i proceed without creating companion app, just adding the HAT add-on for Web IDE.

Also, I am having on-cloud Web IDE. Will this locally installed HAT work with the same.

Ajay

Hi Ajay,

SMP SDK is needed only if you want to use Companion app.

Companion app helps you in testing the app quickly -  app will will loaded in seconds to your device/simulator.

You could run the app in simulator/device even without companion - in the background it will build the app to run it in device/simulator and it takes more time.

Can I reset the password for key store.

I had the older version of HAT, now I am trying with 1.4.2, but still it asks for the same older password.

Hi Ajay,

While configuring HAT you could provide a new password.

You need to run setup file when you are upgrading to ver. 1.4.2.

Yes, I am trying to run the setup file of 1.4.2

But, it goes for browser based setup of HAT add-on.

It did not asked for password reset.

Hi Ajay,

Hi Midhun,

But in the setup process, it did not even asks to set a new password. It just checks the pre-requisites and goes for browser based setup.
