Hi guys, I just want to ask for your opinion regarding the following situation we have in the company:
Our current ERP system is R3 4.6C (non unicode) to be upgraded to SAP ECC 6 EHP 6 with unicode conversion.
Our BI system will still remain at BI 7.0 non unicode
My concerns are:
1. Is there any significant impact regarding the ECC unicode conversion aside from the foreign characters (chinese, korean etc) - will this cause a short dump on my extraction to BI 7.0 system non unicode?
2. Will the extraction work as normal for english language characters.
3. Is there any RFC connection problem that we have to look forward to?
I have researched a lot on this case but the most I can get is for a 3.x version non unicode. I know the concept is the same but I would appreciate if you can share your experience as well using the 7.0 BI system in a non unicode version.
