Posting Block for Cost Center

Dear All,

a customer has the following requirement:

An organizational unit is defined as Profit Center ans Cost Center as well. Revenues should be posted to this organizational unit but NOT costs! The definition of this unit as Cost Center is mandatory, because it is on a place in Org Structure where it is a technical requirement. Has anyone an idea how we can cover it?

Could you brief little more about your requirement.

You said "posting block for cost center" but at the same time you said cost center is mandatory .

Could you Kindly elaborate little more to help you out.

Normally you can stop posting to cost center by chnaging the time intervals of cost center using transaction KS02 by doing Edit--> Analysis period.-->Other period

Dear Pardhu,

yes, from technical point of view the definition as Cost Center is required to activate the Organizational Structure. It was also my first idea to remove this definition but this is not possible. Therefore I'm looking for another possibility to make sure that nobody post expneses on this unit.

I know, it's confusing...:)
