Hi Experts
I have tried for a couple of days but have now exhausted all ideas.
I am trying to perform a restore of the BPC PROD environment into our QA environment. We need to keep the same technical name as BADI's reference some objects. The procedure works fine if we do not keep the same technical names.
The job fails as follows:
I have already tried the following:
- Deleted environment via program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT
- Checked to ensure all tables empty in UJT_CHECK_TABLE_ENTRIES
- Re-activated ENVIRONMENTSHELL
I have run an authorisation trace via ST01 and checked SU53 but there are no problems with authorisation. I checked this as I found a sap note talking about an error when trying to create a multiprovider and it is at this point it fails (log doesn't suggest this but I manually watched multiprovider appear then vanish along with PROD_CUST cube)
Does anyone else have any ideas ?
I have checked and (from what I can see) nothing else is referencing this cube.
Thanks!
Ian
Hi,
Can you check if you have authorization to generate Multi-provider ?

Hi all
Still no joy with this...
@Shrikant - We have tried all of them methods of deletion but still without success
@Andy - I have checked through RSA1 and there is no sign of any linked objects. We had this problem before with a dimension having a classic BW InfoObject 'referenced' to it. However, this is failing on a model which is hardly used. We do not have any classic BW DTP's used on this model... only data manager packages.
@Leila - Our BPC version is consistent throughout the landscape - CPMBPC800.
We have observed that the restore process fails at the point where the system tries to create a multi-provider.
Importantly though, we are able to restore the environment perfectly find if we do not keep the same technical names.
What on earth could be referencing this model / cube ?
Thanks
Ian

Hi Ian,
If you can't restore using the same technical name it means there are still some of the technical name in the BPC table that is stopping you with the restore.
delete environment using program UJ_ACTIVATE_CONTENT
run program UJT_CHECK_TABLE_ENTRIES
then check each table below and delete all the entries that using the old technical name.
UJA_APPL
UJA_APPLT
UJA_APPSET_INFO
UJA_APPSETT
UJA_DIM_APPL
UJA_DIM_ATHIER
UJA_DIM_ATTR
UJA_DIMENSION
UJA_DIMENSIONT

Hello,
What is the BPC version of the backup file and where you are trying to restore?

Leila

Hi Ian,
Goto RSA1 in QA, make sure there is no trace of PROD BPC models and dimensions.
Do you use the BPC cube as a base for other BW transformations?

Hi Ian,
Check following sap note 1578356.
Try it by giving SAP_ALL.
Also make sure environment is deleted properly .
UJAA_DELETE_APPSET - Program UJAA_DELETE_APPSET;
UJX0_AT_DEL_APPSET - Program UJX0_AT_DEL_APPSET;
