Hi,
I have a requirement wherein the user will create a follow up document against an existing transaction in CRM. Depending on the type of follow up transaction type selected, we need to create CS notification.
Now i am aware of the fact that i can write a function module to create a notification in ECC and then call it in CRM BADI ORDER_SAVE. But i want to know how we can achieve this functionality by using BDOCS. I am new to bdocs, so don't know much about them, but i have been told that one advantage of using bdoc is that if my ECC server is down beause of any reason, the CRM bdoc will hold the data and transfer it to ECC once it is up. Is this true?
Also, if using bdoc in this scenario would have advantage, can somebody tell me what all i need to do as i cannot get a proper documentation of creating custom bdoc. Please remember that i might need to write a code, i think at ECC end, to map the data from CRM transaction to CS notificaton.
