Web Intelligence Report - SSO

Hello,

We have the following:

1. Integration of - SAP BI 4.1 SP05 + SAP BW 7.4 + NW Portal 7.4

2. SSO is configured for- SAP BI 4.1 SP5 to SAP BW 7.4

3. We call OpenDoc links (Webi reports) from the portal, so that we view the reports from portal, and that we achieve SSO

Our issue :

is that even after Login into the Portal, it prompts for the username and password once, and after that until the life of the token it doesn't ask for the password again.  It has happened after our recent upgrade from BI4.0 to BI4.1 SP5

I am trying to figure out why is it prompting for the password?  Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

there are 2 type of SSO

1:EP Portal SSO

Portal login--> URL iview->Open Doc link

2:DB SSO

OpenDoc Link Open and you try to refresh the Webi report it promt for DB user ID password

which one is failing?

the OpenDoc link in the Portal prompts for SAP credentials even after I login to portal with SAP credentials.  Once I pass, it won't ask credentials until the lifetime of the token.

so to answer, the first one.

Hi,

Sounds like the OpenDoc SSO config is missing.

Just use the link given by Raunak.

hello Raunak, Moritz

I figured out I need to update the FQDN of the Web Application Server URL, but I cannot find the setting in the NW Enterprise Portal v7.4

Do you have any experience as to where can I get it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

No, I'm sorry, I have no experience with NW as a Web AS.

Best Regards

I think I got clue why the SSO isn't working, per SAP Note 1687070, it states- to make SSO between Business Objects and Enterprise portal, Business Objects and BW should be under the same domain.

In our case, we don't have it in the same domain,  thanks for your help though.
