How to Merge backend role and work as click in sap portal?

Hi Experts,

I have uploaded two backend ECC role in portal Say "A" and
"B". A contains Tcode A1,A2 and B contains tcode B1,B2. Based on this
I have below questions:

1. As the portal setup I can find the tcode description in portal but when I
click them its not evoking the transaction instead I have to input them just
like GUI. As you can see in below Image Role(Approve/Create purchase order)
have 4 tcode assigned and it is visible through tcode description but when I
click them it still shows user menu instead running the tcode.

How to setup so by clicking on tcode description it will run the tcode?

2. I want to combine Role A and Bunder one tab says ECC how to make it happen?

Hi Trinetra,

For your first issue can you check if any transactional iview is opening the expected T-Code instead of the SAP GUI main screen.

Also you can check this thread, and see if this helps with your issue.

For the second issue have you tried role merging?

Hi Rohit,

I have gone through the thread and it my setting was exact teh same as explained in thread.

Also I want to highlight that I am not creating transcation Iview sepeartely I am uploading a Backend Role into portal.

Also regarding merge option I ahve tried the explanation but not working.

Please advise if you hav emore details:

Hi Trinetra,

Could you explain the steps you have performed for merging the two roles?

Also let me know what error/issue you are getting on merging the two roles.

Hi Rohit,

Please find the process I followed to merge the roles:

Uploaded two roles from backend ECC:

Created a folder with same name within the roles and made as entry point for both roles:

Role 1:




 
Role 2:


Maintain the merge same  ID in both roles:


Assign both role individually to user no TAB is shown in user  .

Please suggets if you have answer.

Hi Trinetra,

I would suggest you take the following actions and see if they help in resolving your issue:

1. Try to make the folders and role as visible for Role 2 (in your screenshot they are set to not visible).

2. Try to set the Merge Priority as different for both the folders ( say keep merge priority of role 2 as 100.0 and merge priority of role 1 as 0.0).
