Word Formatting in Disclousure Management

Former Member

Hi, I´m trying to use the BIP_WordTableDef.doc but it does not apply the styles. For example, my BIP_WordTableDef.doc is:

However, once I assign the word template and choose the format as I shown in the next images, my final document is completely different.

Here appeares "Use Styles" disable, but I do not know if it must be enable, and where can I change it?

Then, I select the correct formatting and save the format template.

When I save the format template and apply the datalink, my document appeares as I shown down. (with no formatting at all).

I guess I am doing something wrong, can anyone help me?

Regards.

Mario C.

Hello Mario

Your procedure seems correct to me. The issue may come from your "BIP_WordTableDef.doc" file itself.

The screenshots you attached are very small, so it is hard to see what exactly you have defined.

For example, I use a file where there are different templates. Within each template there are tags such as Head”, “Default”, “Line Two”, “Bold”

Then, in DSM client these tages are selected for each row of the table

Do you have such tags? It seems they are all called 'default' ?

Does your template match the table (the Excel data-cache) you are formatting, e.g. number of columns in the same?

Thanks

Hello Marc, thanks for your quick response,

Yes, I already have that tags, they are call "Título", "Subtítulo" and "Default" as you can see below.

I also checked my excel document and the colums are the same.

What else do you think I could be wrong?

Regards.

Hi Mario

Not sure here - maybe you should open a ticket in SMP (so that we can get your files to test it directly)

What version of DSM are you using?

Hello Marc,

I am using the next version:

Version: 10.0
Build: 10.0.8.35
Server is running as a 32 Bit process on a 64 Bit Operation System

I will be very grateful if you can show me how can I open the SMP ticket.

Thank you very much.

Mario

DSM 10.0 is not officially supported anymore (although I do not think this issue is due to your version)

SMP is SAP's system to log issues etc. http://service.sap.com

Note: you need to be a registered user for this

Good luck
