Replace Information space

I have two information spaces in two different folders. I wanted to replace one with another one. So that I Dont loose the CUID of the original one. Can you suggest steps to do it ?

There is no possibility to replace the explorer infospace presently and you are left only with the below two options if you want to retain the cuid.

1. Make the changes again on the existing infospace if they are only cosmetic.
2. If the source has changed, you can select change source and then make the relevant changes to the existing infospace.

or just update cuid in the opendoc calls.

Right now, I see that over writing the existing info space is out of the box.
