Page skip in printout of small paper size

Former Member

Hello,

I have a question concerning the printout of labels (smaller paper size).

The printer is a small one. It prints using a roll of paper in which there is a black mark so that each printout is done on one paper.

However, when the printout is coming out, the page is not being skipped after one printout.

Example :

Label 1  ---> Printed on page 1

Label 2 ---> Printed on the remaining space of page 1 (it should have been printed on the second page of the paper roll)

Anyone has an idea of how can it be done?

We have been able to solve the problem by calibrating the printer.

In fact, for this one, the printer was ZT230.

Also, the document below is very helpful, especially Page 130, which gives details about issues and their solutions.

Hello Feenaz,

What's your printr model and paper size?

To print from a smaller paper size, you need to follow the note 163136 to create the paper size in OS
level and also create the corresponding page format in SAP system.

How you print your label in SAP system? With smartform or sapscript?Which device type are you using to print your label?

Hello,

Thanks for your response.

To answer your questions:

Printer model : Zebra ZDesigner QLN320

Paper size : 76x101,5

We print using Smartform

Device type : LZEB2

Do u know how to send page feed instruction to the printer so that the printer skips page when it needs to?

Hello Feenaz,

1.Pls follow the note 163136 to create the page size in your OS level and set this page size as the
default paper of your Zebra printer.
2. pls create the same page format in system and copy the device type to Zxxx one,add the page
format to device type Zxxxx.
3.In your smartform, open tab 'output option',set the newly created page format in the option "page format".

Hope this helps on your query.

Yes, we read it.

However, we would like to know how to send a form feed instruction so that the printer knows when the end of page is reached.

I read there is something called Black Mark Sensing. We've tried it, but it does not work.
