SAP Fiori in SAP EP or alone

Hi experts,

I would like to submit a question more strategic than technical.

In your opinion what is the added value of using SAP Fiori encapsulated inside the SAP Enterprise Portal than using it alone?

Do you think it possible that SAP Fiori supplant gradually the strategic positioning of SAP Enterprise Portal?

I feel that SAP is not pushing, at least commercially, SAP Portal.

What do you think?

Hello Nicola,

Just came across your question. Hopefully I can anwer this.

The recommanded way to use Fiori in Portal (for Application Portal scenarios) is to use FLP on Portal - also known as Fiori Framework Page.

With this approach you can keeps the integrity and harmonized experience of Fiori apps, while applowing a high level of reuse for past investments in the Portal, like SSO, Roles, and content configuration.
