Data Access Profile issue

Hi,

I made one data access profile, and one team is assigned to it.In one dimension i gave all members access denied but in excel I am still able to access all members.

Please help me with the issue.

Of course its a backend issue, it is because of SAP_ALL profile.

Your document will point Ishita to the wrong direction.

It is not recommended to manage security without going through web admin.

It always wondered me why some people follow one advise while mark another as helpful. It's clear that Andy's suggestion about SAP_ALL resolved the issue.

I have nothing against Cecilia tho:).

HI Ishita,

If you have denied access of all members of one dimension members how you are going to access that model? Possibly you have user who having two different data access profiles. So please check other one also. Please check user profile also whether user having different data access profile

Hi,

I have checked and I don't find another data access profile.And i have tried giving access to selected member and then also m able to access all members, means whatever security I am giving it is not reflecting in excel.

Hi Ishita,

Is it happening for all models or only for your specific model. Pleas check for other models also Not sure but try to run UJA_DATA_CHECKER. Go to SE38 and run program. Please clear all meta data cache.

I've run this program and there is no issue , it is saying file structure is correct.And  I can't access other models , i can check in  this model only

Please check  In Model, whether you have made your Dimension Secured or not and you are dealing with Same Dimension in Excel . Share some screen shot.

If you have sap all then you will have access to all members.

Create a new user without sap all. Then test.
