Error in determing actual cost for order

Hi Experts,

we are getting this message while doing MFBF.

This is June 2015 which is 3rd period. On current period date, system is allowing us to do MFBF. if we post in 2nd period, system is giving error 'Error in determing actual cost for order'.

We have checked below items.

1. KP26 maintain.

2. Cost estimate saved and released

Is there any other reason or area where i need to check.

Beside this one more thing is many documents are posted in 2nd period with entry date of current period.

Period 2nd and 3rd both are open for MM.

In REM profile, I think you have settings to post activities using std cost estimate of materials. So the system is not finding some activities in std cost of last period which are now present.

Ideally REM profile should aim at Pre. Cost est. Now under the circumstances in your test client try changing REM Prof (however should not be done), and then try doing MFBF. See the effects and if every thing is fine go ahead.

Thanks for all your help. This issue is resolved.

Period was not opened. We opened OKP1 and FI team opened the period.

After that posting was allowed.

As a thought:  on KP26/27  review it again and make sure that it was price for the entire year by clicking the PERIOD Screen.  it will show the price for each period.

We once had someone typo KP26 and instead of from period 1 to period 12; we got from period 1 to period 2 and we go the error that you are describing.

I have checked the settings and everything is fine.

But i want to add one thing. We have currently mapped solar process in product costing for which we have maintained cost element in OKTZ. We have moved transport for this setting and  i think because of this some thing has went wrong. For current period there is not problem only in previous period there is a problem.
