Counter performance based maitenance

Hello ,

If we take the example given in sap's page  :

You want to check the washers of a pump every time 50,000 liters of water have flowed through it. The system calculates the planned date by which 50,000 liters must have flowed through the pump.

So how does the counter to calculate the planned date ?

Thanks.

Marouane ELBA,

The Key things in Counter Based Plan are

  • Annual Estimate - It should be close to actuals

          - e.g. Initial reading is 100 Ltr

          - The pump in question discharges 1500 ltr of water per day; so to get to reading of (50100-100) =50000 it will take 50000/1500=33.33 Days

          - System calculate plan date = Start date (Today + 33.33 Days) = 4 Aug 2015

Now the effect of posting measuring document at every week Monday-

  • Frequency at which you are going to record Measurement Reading (Document posting in IK11)
    • if we post the document with higher reading then anticipated 1500 ltr/day asume 2000 ltr/day
    • the document posting wil be = 12000 ltr
    • 50000-12100/2000 = 18.90 day
    • system calculate new plan date = Start date (Monday + 18.90 day) = 25 July 2015

Thank you really what I was looking for , but still I have one question :

What's the frequency of posting measuring document ?

Is it defined by SAP or maintenance responsible has the liberty to choose the frequency required ?

Hi,

Just to clrify things,

If your Pump Run for 10 Hr daily (Annual estimate is 365 *10 =3650) and you plan to execute maintenance on completion of 100 Hr.

Plan start 01.07.2015 with refrence reading 10 Hrs; at 110 Hrs. System will plan date according to Annual estimate as 11.07.2015 and if you post document before this date system recalculated or if you post document after this date system would have already called Maintenance object.

This were you need to be careful in decisiding you document posting based on annual estimate.

In your last reply , sou said

" Now the effect of posting measuring document at every week Monday "

I'm asking about this  " every week Monday ",it's defined in SAP that date that we have to enter a measuring document or the maintenance responsible must decide ??
