Exclude valid cost centers from posting

Dear all,

is there a possibility in ByD to exclude valid cost centers from posting on?

Background info: Our customer has an org'unit which is defined as sales organization and - as this - must as well be defined as cost center (this is inbuilt). But our customer doesn't want general costs to be posted on that org'unit.

Would be great if someone knew a possibility. Thanks a lot in advance!

Best Regards

Hi Peter,

This feature is not supported in the current release of bydesign.

We have discussed your requirement with our Development and came to know that this requirement is already under their backlog and you can expect this feature in one of the upcoming releases.

Where a BADI will be provided from which user can implement your own validations in the PDI for the Org. Unit which is also provided as cost center.

Thanks

Lokesh Sharma

Dear Lokesh,

thanks a lot for your quick answer. Yes, indeed, I think Katrin has the same requirement like me.

So, I guess, at the moment there is no opportunity to do so. Correct?

Best Regards

Peter

Hi Peter,

Enhancement Option : AccountAssignmentCheck

From 1508 version this enhancement option is available

We have provided account assignment check BADI, where a user can implement their own validations on PDI. User can check , are these expense reports are assigned to proper cost center/ project/ department. This BADI supports all generic accounts assignment list cost center, profit center...etc. User can validate and raise messages on application to make proper cost assignment.

Thanks
