Hi QM experts,

There are three inspection lots for a same material as below, only inspection lot 10003024656 does not have batch number.

When I try to do UD for inspection lot 10003024656, it will pop-up a message as below.

The inspection type is 01, and I know that I can make a UD if fill the batch number maunally. I have also checked the material document for these 3 inspection lots and all have batch number.

Batch number display in MB03 as below:

Inspection lot:10003024655 ---> Batch number: A00755205

Inspection lot:10003024656 ---> Batch number: A00755205

Inspection lot:10003024657 ---> Batch number: A00755206

My question is: Why there is no batch number for inspection lot 10003024656, but the others have?

Regards,

Steve

Hi,

Please check following notes:

Note 302854 - QA11:Error message QV044 when making usage decision

Note 170081 - UD: Possible to make UD without batch assignment

If you need this feature to be made available for QA11 you have to implement the Note 146945 - Making usage decision for production lots w/o batch.

But be aware that inpection lots without batch assignment might not be taken into account sufficiently or at all in the subsequent QM functions (in certificate processing, QMIS, results history - for example).

Kind regards,

Natália

Check the OSS note if applicable in your case 146945 - Making usage decision for production lots w/o batch

Do you see the stock lying at Quality inspection in MMBE? Do you see the Batch segment exists or not for the said Material and Batch in MCHB?

Can you check and let us know these details.

Yes, I can see the stock lying at Quality inspection in MMBE transaction. That means MCHB has stock segment for the said batch.

You have to check the Quality management tables (QAVE) and ensure whether Batch is updated or not. Use SE16 / SE11 transaction for checking the Batch in the Inspection lot.

Is this happened for the First time? If yes, you have to check for the Corrective notes. If this is repeated issue, you have to check whether any home made enhancement or user exit is causing the issue.
