Hello Everyone

We are currently configuring transaction EXPD. Though i could understand the various date categories i will like to understand from users here the best usage / description of the date categories provided in expediting / progress tracking solution.

1. Baseline Date :-

2. Planned Date:

3. Forecasted Date :

4. Actual Date / System date :

We are in E&C industry and we have purchase orders followed by change orders.

Thanks for your reply.

regards

Manu

We can track a PO by tracking the events such as PO release, Acknowledgement from vendor, Goods Receipt and the payment clearing with the help of baseline, plan and actual date.

The variance is always calculated by comparing the planned and actual date, in the absence of planned date we may consider baseline date.

Baseline date is used to compare against the progress of our tasks and plan date is determine from the baseline date.

Hi,

First, a good document for process tracking in SAP MM. https://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-49558

Seems these dates are related SAP PS. Follow this link Types of Dates - Dates - SAP Library . I hope it will help.

Regards..
