Hi All,

I had Creates Dash Board with Universe and QAAS connections

I had Kept the Option  Refresh Before the Component Load

As a Result every time users Access the Dash Board it is taking the Query Execution time in order to Populate Dash Board

Query is taking Longer time to Run

As This is a Monthly Reports is there Any Way that we can Automate the Query Every Month to Populate the Result set in Excel

So it wont take too much time to populate the Result set when the user switch Between tabs in BI Work Space

Or is there Any best Way

Please Advise ,

Thanks,

Krishna.

Finally Found the solution for Data loading in Excel Automatically

Solition :

Create Webi Report with universe

Create a QAAS Link with Webi Report

and use that Link For creating the Dash Board

then Schedule the WEBI Report

Connection Options :and Kept the Options : Getfromlatest intance =1 in Dash Board Options from Inputs

in isSheduled Option = TRUE in Outputs

This way you can get the scheduled instance data Very Quick to the Report

and Keep the option Refresh on Open in Connection

Thanks

Krishna .

hi,

Dont refresh all connections at one time. Run necessary connections before components are loaded and enable rest of connections after components are loaded.

if you are using BI web service(webi blocks) enable query stripping on webi report.

Give us some more details on how many connections you are using and how big data(rows and columns) retrieves at back end

Hi Krishna,

You can preview the Dashboard in deisgner and in preview go to File -> Snapshot -> Current excel data. Save the Excel file.
Come out of preview and import this excel file as it has data.

You can try this and see if this works for you.

Else I dont think there would be any way to automate the query data in excel.
