Hi Experts,

We have ECC 6.0 EHP 5 on windows with Oracle DB.

Today, we have got 'DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR' dumps during 00:01:00 to 09:00:00.

Client is asking for the root cause.

Now we are not getting any dumps and system is up & running fine now

Runtime Errors         DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR

Date and Time          03.07.2015 09:21:34

Short text

     SQL error 12577 occurred when accessing program "SAPMSSY30 " part "LOAD".

What can you do?

     Note which actions and input led to the error.

     For further help in handling the problem, contact your SAP administrator

     .

     You can use the ABAP dump analysis transaction ST22 to view and manage

     termination messages, in particular for long term reference.

How to correct the error

     Database error text........: "ORA-12577: Message 12577 not found;

      product=RDBMS; facility=ORA#"

     Triggering SQL statement...: "SAPMSSY30 "

     Internal call code.........: "[REPO/*/OPBR/LOAD/SAPMSSY30 ]"

     Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).

     If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to

     find an interim solution in an SAP Note.

     If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following

SM21:

00:01:15 DIA  004 008                  AB  0 Run-time error "DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR" occurred

Hi Ashutosh/Biborka,

Now we are not getting any dumps, But we are trying to find out the root cause.

As it is on windows server, we identified some event logs and believing that server was hanged during that period.

Hi,

If possible could you please provide the corresponding dev_w* work process trace file?

You can also check the blog "ORA-12577 occurred when reading from a LOB on kernel 7.41"
