Encryption and Decryption at SAP/Oracle

Hi Gurus,

We have a requirement where we need to Encrypt a custom infotype field values (1 record)  and same needs to be decrypted at Oracle.

Data Movement Flow is as below:

SAP HCM System  ->  SAP PI System  ->  ORacle system.

Can you please help me in understanding how this can be achieved.

Hi Swet,

what you are looking for is called Oracle TDE (Transparent Data Encryption) or to be more specific "TDE Column Encryption". However be aware of the limits of encrypted index columns. The whole stuff is very well explained in SAPnote #974876 (" Oracle Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)").
