ITSM - Create Message field Reported By

Hi,

In the Create Message Incident screen there is the ITSM Reported By field.

What should I do so that the Reported By field is automatically populated with the user who is logged in?

In this case would automatically insert the value of the Created By field in the Reported By field.

Hi Viviane,

This might help you:

  1. Transaction SPRO and navigate to SAP Reference IMG > SAP Solution
    Manager > Capabilities(Optional) > IT Service Management > Partner
    Determination Procedure > Define Partner Determination Procedure.
  2. Highlight SMIN0001 or whichever Partner Determination
    procedure is being used.
  3. Double-click Partner Function in Procedure.
  4. Change Access Sequence for "Reported by"
    to User.

Please note that in standard CRM_UI Reported by is not filled automatically. This is a workaround. There could be a side affect of this which I am not aware. So, please keep this in mind.

Hi Vikram,

I performed the above configuration but unfortunately Reported by field is not filled with data about the user who is logged.

I attached screen with the configuration.

Could someone please help me?

Hi

I would advise to enable SSO in the system and change reporter screen to guided procedure screen in Business Roles

This way complexity is reduced for reporters and field reported by is automatically field.

Hi,

Proceed as follow,

Go to SPRO->Transactions->Partner determination procedures-> Define partner determination procedures->ZMIN/YMIN-> Navigate to partner functions

Preceding document-> SAP Service:  Determination Via Ibase

With this when you are raising the incident from the managed system (SAP GUI) the field will be automatically populated.

However when you are creating from the crm ui itself, then you need to change the access sequence

Go to SPRO->Transactions->Partner determination procedures-> Define access sequence




Now assign this access sequence as I had described in first step.


By default this current partner is unchangeable make sure that should be there, otherwise every time it will change with current partner.
