Dear experts ,

Need your inputs for the following issue,

Have a material associated with 03 inspection type ( in-process inspection)

During results recording , i am getting this 'Unit to be inspected tab'.

How to avoid this tab..?

We are using sampling procedure.

Inspection unit to be entered during results recording ..?

Could anyone guide me on this in detail.

Please let me know , how this works.

Hi Daya  ,

As usually get this  tab when  we are working with serial numbers . If we are working with serial numbers then each serial number's result we can record seperately  & acceptenance &  rejection could be done .

As it is  Inspection type "03"  It basically follow the below process .

When we activated the Serial number profile  in matreial master then at the time of process order creation we can provide the serial number & when  process order released  then it generates the Inspection lot & this Inspection lots  contain the same serial numbers which we maintain in the process order .

We can record the Inspection result for each serial numbers.

Thanks ,

Regards,

Aman

Hi Ayoub ,

Is it possible to keep this field optional rather than mandatory.

Hi Daya,

You have this because you are using the option "Recording by units to be inspected" in Recording view at the master recipe operation details (QM data for operation)

Please change that setting to default view and try again.

Ayoub.

Hi Daya,

Please try to select "No external numbering for original values" in the field Ext. numbering at the QM data of Recipe.

Let me know if this removes the entire tab of units to be inspected.

Ayoub.

Hi Daya,

The tab appears if you have a serialized material or you select to maintain external unit numbers at the Recipe header.

Please select the option "No external numbering for original values" so system will not ask you for that.

Ayoub.

Hi Daya,

After updating the Master Recipe, you need to re-create new inspection lot in order to make the system take new settings into consideration. Old inspection lot won't be reflecting these changes.

Hi Ayoub,

Everytime I am creating a new process order for testing purpose which results in generating a new inspection lot.

But is there any other standard settings.?
