Dear Friends, While users are transferred from child system to parent system " Entered user name contains characters that are not permitted " error message is noticed in transfer user error log. However, user id's displayed in error log is not present in parent system nor in child system.
Please share your thoughts on it's solution.
Thanks

Hi
Check if you set correct Unicode option for your SM59 RFC connection definitions.

This is my first guess as well. Just to add explanation CUA uses RFC connection to distribute IDocs. If two systems uses different encoding for connection some characters might be interpreted differently on other system. In this case it seems that these characters are not valid for username anymore. It will be necessary to transfer Idocs again.

Dear Przemek \ Martin, Both child and parent systems are selected with Communication Type as Non - Unicode in Unicode tab of SM59. Please share your thoughts.
Thanks for your inputs.

These days you would expect to see Unicode but it really depends on the system. Are these legacy systems? You can also try to find that IDoc in WE02 and see what are the values there.

Can you share some secret about those user names -your screen-shot doesn't give me any value.
Check if you can find the user in child system USR02 table. The best on DB level.
If you receive the error during CUA setup users transfer in what column they appear (new, identical, different)?

Hi Raj
However, user id's displayed in error log is not present in parent system nor in child system.
Is there a chance that the admin deleted the username? Can you check CUA change docs to see if the account is no longer there but the replication IDOC was still in error?
