how to restrict services visible to only to some users in ess

hi all ,

we have developed launchpad in that we have clock in and clock out it is only the launchpad which we use and here we want to display clock in clock out service only to sales employees say for ex:- 150 employees only in portal when they open the ess portal and for other employees it shud not get visible , let me know what are the steps need to followed for that

You can create one PFCG dummy role and assign to the employees who ever is belongs to sales.

Other wise in EG or ESG level you can validate it if Sales guys are grouping in one structure.

You can implement BADI HRESS_MENU, Enhancement implementation for  HRESS_COUNTRY_FILTER

Check the class CL_DEF_IMHRESS_MENU, here you can implement enhancement and build logic based on below points.

You can create one PFCG dummy Z role and assign to the employees who ever is belongs to sales.

In above class, you can check if employee having this role then make it visible other wise make it invisible in attributes fields.

Other wise if all those sales guys are grouped at EG or ESG level based on this also you can make it visible or invisible of that link.
