Hi MAXDB experts,
I have installed MaxDB_7.9_RDBMS___SP8_Build_21 for Content Server.
Then I installed maxdb-studio-desktop-win-64bit-x86_64-7_9_08_31
to connect the database but it is not connecting.
i tried connecting through dbmcli, database is connecting perfectly.
The OS used is windows 2012 -- Maxdb Studio supports win2012 server?.
Can anybody help me here?
Regards,
Suresh Daniel.

Hi Suresh,
Can you share a screen with the error that prevents you to connect to the database?

Hi Luis,
We're facing similar issue on maxdb, let me explain about our issue,
We're doing database migration (MaxDB to MSSQL) using heterogenous system copy method, while taking export it executing a syntax to validating the SAP release (GetSAPReleaseFromDB.log) but it was unable to execute that systax and throws error message.
==============================================================================
INFO 2015-07-15 (hostname\sidadm)
Execution of the command "sqlcli -U DEFAULT -Q "SELECT "RELEASE", "EXTRELEASE" FROM "SAPSID"."CVERS" WHERE COMPONENT='SAP_BASIS'"" finished with return code 0. Output: * - 10709: Connection failed (RTE:[5] database not running)
==============================================================================
Database was running without any issue and db_state also ONLINE but if we run this syntax on MaxDB Studio means it was working without any issue. While executing this command on "sqlcli" only facing this issue.
Could you please let us know what needs to be done for this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Guna
Hi Suresh,
Yes it is supported in Windows 2012.
Could you get DBstudio initial screen or facing an error while connecting to DB only?
Have you installed JAVA in the server?
Could you please check other prerequisites in the SAP note 1097311 and reinstall once again?
Thanks,
Pradeep
