Can we use AREA of Responsiblity to provide authorizations to TMS on PA's

Hello gurus,

Can we use AREA of Responsibility relationship (B 741) to provide authorizations to TMS. The requirement is to restrict the specialist to access information only for their own respective talent pools out of the various talent pools created in the organization.

Please suggest a better idea, through which we can set authorizations for the above mentioned scenario

I don't know if I am misinterpreting your requirements, but it sounds like the 741 area of responsibility covers this need.

Hi Amrita,

In addition to the 741 relationship assignment,  to restrict the TMS' access, you can maintain the parameter "RESTRICT_SEARCH_TO_AOR" in table V_T77TMCPARAMS.

To do this:

1. Call SM30

2. Open maintenance view V_T77TMCPARAMS
3. Position to the Parameter Group "SUPPORT_TEAM" and Parameter Name "RESTRICT_SEARCH_TO_AOR"

4. Change the value from ' ' to 'X'.

5. Save changes.

As always, please test this in a non-productive environment first!
