Reciclying DynPro from BPS to BW-IP

Hi Experts,

In some User Exit Planning Functions in BPS, DynPros were used. We are wandering if it is possible to replicate, rebuild , ... the same screen in BW-IP or BPC 10.1 Unified.

Hi Pablo,

end user UIs in BW-IP and BW embedded (unified) don't use Dynpro technology any more. These UIs are web based or based on Excel Add-In as AO (Analysis Office) and the EPM Add In.

The question is what kind of problem you solved with Dynpros. If you just ask for parameters of planning functions there are other ways to do this in BW-IP and BPC unfied; most are based on BW variables.

Thanks for your reply. Could you explain or refer to documentaction about these parameters in IP or BPC10.1 Unified?

By the way, How do Error Messages appear on BPC 10.1? As popups?

Hi Pablo,

check the BW-IP documentation about BW variables; it depends on the UIs how the variables are exposed. You may start with the following documentation:
