Cross Check Data between DVM and Managed System

Hi All,

We just starting to implement DVM. Basis team have done the configuration, and now my team, archiving team need to do the system testing to check whether the data reflect in the DVM is correct.

I have done the cross check and notice that the size of the table in DVM is not concurrent with the size in the Managed System.

Below is the method I use to cross check the result.

DVM

Go to Statistic & Trend -> Data Allocation Statistics -> Tables(All) -> Summary

Time frame : This week (06.06.2015 - 09.07.2015) , Granularity : Week

Variables for DVM System

System ID : ED1

Object Size(MB) : 500

Managed System

T-Code : DB02 -> Space -> Largest Table

Can anyone advice me whether this is the correct way to check it, and if it is correct, does anyone know why the size between DVM and managed system is not the same?

Hi Afiq,

We have worked with DVM Earlier and came across these kind of inconsistencies also.

What abou the entire size of database, does DVM report the same size as in the Target system (ECC)?

It's better to raise an incident with SAP on this.

Also it's better to check the Plug-in levels in both the systems, extractor runs for DVM .
