Dear all,
I have handover the SAP System from the old Basis. But i didn't recieve the DB Admin password.
So if i reset the password, which point do i need to check before process ?
My system was AIX, DB2 v9.1
thanks
Hello,
DB2 will authenticate user at OS level.
For db2<sid> user, OS password change should be ok.
For SAP connect user, or <sid>adm user, besides OS password change, you have to update the password configuration file using dscdb6up. e.g. dscdb6up <sid>adm <password>.
Kind regards
Maria

HI all !
I have successfully to change the password for DB2<SID>.
But my concern is if i create a new user with the authorizations same as DB2<SID>, eg DB2BAK, so can it work like DB2<SID> ?
Thanks
