How to find ODBC Data Source?

After I installed 2.0 version,  I cannot find local ODBC when I to select Data Source. All I can see are SAP connection - no option to connect to HANA.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Scott

AO 2.0 onward connect using HTTP connection instead of ODBC.

Follow the steps mentioned here.

Also you need to implement the following to achieve a successful connection :  (This is mentioned in the same document - and has been provided by Venkata Subhash Babu M  )

1. Is delivery unit HCO_INA_SERVICE is deployed on the HANA platform ? If not please deploy it

2. HANA system should be >=SP9

3. Please check below authorizations mentioned in note

http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2097965

What I did - was I deleted all the SAP HANA ODBC connection to achieve a successful  connection once using HTTP, after that I recreated the ODBC connection to connect to other application apart from AO.

Hope it helps

Thank you very much Victor,

I think this is key issue I meet. I installed 64 HANA client on my machine. But the Analysis is 32 bit. I will reinstall HANA client.

The ODBC driver will be installed with Hana clients. Did you already install them?

Yes, I already did.

You installed the 64 bit Hana clients. Your MS office and therefore analysis are probably 32 bit, that is why you are not seeing the driver.

go ahead and install the Hana clients 32 bit and try again.

I uninstalled Analysis Office 2.0, and installed version 1.4. I got same issue. There is no ODBC option.

Please try using the http: connection to SAP HANA - Subhash has supplied several documents - see this one

Thanks Tammy,

After I check Subhash's document, the document looks for connecting to BIP platform. not local ODBC connection.

Thanks Tammy,

The document 'How to migrate ODBC reports to HANA HTTP reports'  that Analysis Office 2.0 doesn't support ODBC connection.  I will try different way now.

Thanks again for your help.

Scott.
