Create Delta load in SRM - BW data flow

Hi All,

We have a requirement to develop BI reports based on Shopping Cart (0BBP_TD_SC_1), Shopping Cart Approval (0BBP_TD_SC_APPR_1) and Central Contracts (0BBP_TD_CONTR_2) with some customization of adding new fields in the shopping cart flow.

We have installed the business content data sources and dso's and installed the SAP delivered query's. We have loaded some test data to check the report functionality and everything is fine.

Now , we got the requirement from client the data flow should be based on Delta on a daily basis. Before initializing the delta when we tried to run a full update and the loads are running for long time and finally end with some errors (having data since 2002).

Hence please suggest how to achieve the Delta initialization in SRM - BW and what are the things needs to be considered before doing the delta initialization.

Hi Fr,

Thanks for your reply.  This is mean once the full update successfully completed then we can go with Delta update on a daily basis via process chain ?

Please correct if my understanding is wrong?

That is correct.

But like i said, if you don't load to a DSO first, you have to pay attention that there is no overlap between your Delta and your historic full loads.

The general solution for this is:

1/ Do "init without data" without any (time-)restrictions. This will make sure you capture all new/changed data from this point onward

2/ Do full loads for the historic data (restrict to one or more year)

Make sure not to have overlaps in your data for current year (unless you have an overwrite-dso as first target)
