Hi folks, a customer our, recently reported an poor performance in many transactions of SAP, our analisys not indicated any problem in the SAP, using the sap tool niping we had 2.000 ms average in the communication of CI and DB, considering that both are located in the same vmware this is a very bad result, we search many possibilities, as vmware settings, windows settings, network cards settings, but nothing solved this problem.
Can you help us?
Josue Neto
Hi folks, thank you so much by answers, we solved the problem updating the sap kernel, from release 741 patch 100 to release 742 patch 200.
Best regards,

Hi Josue
1. During the poor performance time could you check the over all usage of CI & DI (CPU, Memory & Network usage)? if possible share the ST02 & SM50 snapshot?
2. If the poor performance in a single transaction, you can enable the trace using the transaction code ST12 check the over all ABAP & DB usage
3. Kindly refer the SAP Notes

Hi Josue,
My first thought here would be misconfigured DNS. If you run niping using IP addresses instead of hostnames, do you get a different result?
Cheers,
Matt
