How we can have mapping of sub assemblies with parent serial ?

Dear Gurus,

We are in automobile distribution model, Our product (Parent Equipment) comes with multiple sub assemblies.

Assemblies are serialized & having separate warranty policies associate with them which we need to track.

Currently we are managing the same by implementing Z table which is getting updated by retail process (Portal) at the dealership. Please suggest standard way to have mapping of Parent & sub assemble serial numbers.

Hi Prathamesh,

You can have a look at the equipment master hierarchy functionality in SAP ECC, the same equipment master hierarchy gets replicated as Installed Base Hierarchy in SAP CRM, The installed base would contain the material, serial no and the equipment and is also integrated with the warranty process

You would need to replicate the equipment as an installed base in SAP CRM. Hope this helps.You can have a look at the sap help document
